Call for Abstracts to EU4Dual Annual Conference 2026

GC2: Green Economy

In 2025, the challenges associated with the green economy and its future implications were widely acknowledged across education, research, and society at large. Climate change has introduced significant challenges and security risks related to food, water, health, energy, and the bioeconomy, among other areas. Addressing the green economy challenge is crucial for coordinating an effective response to the most pressing threat of our time.

Presentations on the green economy emphasized the importance of integrating advanced technologies, sustainable practices, and innovative economic models to foster environmental sustainability and resilience across various sectors. They highlighted the necessity for collaboration among educational institutions, industry, and policymakers to drive the transition toward a green economy—focusing on continuous learning, inclusivity, and the adoption of green skills and circular economy principles.
