Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in the comments)
- The submission file is in *.docx-Format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- Double-sided alignment (justified) and simple line spacing
- Uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end
- Top and bottom margins should be set at 2.5 cm and the left and right at 2 cm
- Each author must be identified with an ORCID number
- Structure of the manuscript: Introduction, Methodology, Results & Discussion, Conclusion, References
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided
- Length: 4.000 – 6.000 words (exceptions require justification)
- Citation style: APA 7
- Anonymization: Manuscripts must not contain any author-identifying information
- Ethical Declarations: Include statements on conflict of interest, funding, and research ethics approval where applicable
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

By publishing with this journal, authors agree to the following terms:
- Authors agree to the publication of their manuscript in the journal;
- Authors confirm that the work is original, unpublished, and not currently under review elsewhere;
- The ESJ DHE journal is not responsible for the views, ideas, or concepts presented in the articles; these are the sole responsibility of the author(s);
- The ESJ DHE journal reserves the right to make editorial adjustments and adapt the text to meet publication standards;
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right to first publication. The work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International, allowing the work to be shared with proper attribution and the initial publication in the journal;
- Authors may enter into additional agreements separately for non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work (e.g., publishing in an institutional repository or as a book chapter), with proper attribution to the journal and original publication;
- Authors are encouraged to share and distribute their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal web pages) at any time before or during the editorial process. This can enhance visibility, increase citations, and generate positive effects.
- Authors have to use ORCID, a system that provides a unique identifier to distinguish their work and ensure proper attribution, especially for those with common names.
