Educational institutions are undergoing profound changes driven by digitalisation, artificial intelligence and social change. These developments require new forms of cross-institutional collaboration and skills development. Flexible, practice-oriented approaches, self-directed learning and collegial networking are needed to respond to these dynamics. Bildung verNetzt is an agile learning format designed specifically for employees in educational institutions to respond to these challenges. In tenweek inter-organisational learning journeys, participants work in heterogeneous small groups on self-selected, practice-relevant goals and build sustainable professional networks in the process. The format combines proven agile learning principles with the specific needs of the education sector. In the long term, it aims to build a permanent "community of practice" (CoP). Initial experiences in the Wissensstadt Heilbronn indicate promising effects at the individual and institutional levels and underscore the potential of agile learning formats for the education sector.
